The Post Oak Farm Board will survey the participants and each will vote for their top three choices. Five points is awarded for 1st choice, 3 points is awarded for 2nd choice, and 1 point for 3rd choice. The home with the most points will get first prize with the next highest receiving second and third prizes respectively. Last year’s winners and Board members are excluded and the prizes are as follows:

FIRST PRIZE……………..$50.00
SECOND PRIZE…………$25.00
THIRD PRIZE…………….$10.00

These prize amounts will be given as gift cards for Home Depot. Finally, with the resident’s permission, a “1st, 2nd, or 3rd place sign will be posted in their front yard. We look forward to seeing some of the hard work neighborhood residents put in to making this a great event.

Trash Service with Superior Disposal effective 1/1/2012

Johnson County has made mandatory changes for Trash Haulers. Following are the changes to
be implemented by Superior effective 1/1/2012:

Yard waste, recyclables and regular trash will be picked up by separate trucks. (Johnson County
Regulations require yard waste to be picked up separately and not dumped in landfills)

SUPERIOR’S $75 A QUARTER SERVICE INCLUDES:
A 65 gal trash receptacle. (Superior will be delivering these this year). This is the
equivalent of five 13 gallon kitchen bags.
4 yard waste bags weekly: April-September (you may substitute tied bundles of sticks no longer
than 4 feet or bigger than 18 inches in diameter in place of a bag).
8 yard waste bags weekly: October – December.
4 yard waste bags on the first week of each month January, February and March.
Unlimited recycling. Lenexa’s regulations require the recycling receptacle to be as big as the trash container.
NOTE: The $75 service will cost POF residents $63 a quarter. If you currently have Superior
service they will automatically enroll you in this service unless you ask for the $84 Service listed
below.

SUPERIOR’S $84 SERVICE INCLUDES:
A 95 gal trash receptacle. This is equivalent to seven 13 gallon kitchen bags.
Yard waste is the same as the $75 Service.
Unlimited recycle.
Superior also offers a Senior Discount for the $75 but it costs $3 a quarter more than the POF
rate above.

For any level of service:
Trash and Yard bags over the limit will require an overage sticker of $1.50 per sticker that can be
purchased from Superior and possibly through City Hall.

DEFFENBAUGH’S BASIC SERVICE
You will be changed $77 a quarter which includes a new fuel surcharge which goes into affect
1/1/2012. The surcharge could change but was to start out at 19% of the basic charge.

You might be able to get in at $70 a month but the amount would probably go up after two quarters.

We had over 100 family members and guest who enjoyed the light lunch, water activities, games, and a visit from the Lenexa Fire Department.  The water slide and Pitch Burst were welcome additions to the event.
